Good 23 Inch To 24 IPS Monitor?

I need a good 23 - 24 inch monitor that has IPS, and is under 160 dollars. I already found 2, but just want to know if there are more that is better.

I think the Asus is the best for an IPS, but it is over $200.

The best IPS monitors in that price range are Asus. Dell also makes great IPS monitors but are usually more expensive. I would up the price range a bit .

The AOC stuff is generally not too good. it is an inhouse brand for Best Buy AFAIK.

I'm not that impressed with that brand of monitors. But I have seen them recommended as inexpensive monitors.

Remember when you are buying a monitor that you are likely going to be starring at it for a long time in the future. Saving $50 dollars now isn't going to be much of a consolation a year from now.

Yes I agree with the "Cheap can be expensive." comment. Why spend a lot of money on a gaming system and then use a cheap monitor? It doesn't make sense to me.

Yes, that Benq is a much better choice than the AOC. Just realize that the built in speakers are fairly lackluster and you will need dedicated speakers.

What is your budget? Is this a gaming or general use system? I generally like Asus for monitors in the $150 - 200 range.

That Acer is an IPS and more affordable. Definitely better than the AOC. I have bought Acer gear, but I find their quality control not the best. For example, my Acer monitor required warranty service after a power board needed replacement within about a year of ownership. It has been fine after, but when I see some of the comments on Amazon for that model, it looks like my experience was not unique. And for the shipping cost to TX that was on me, i could have just put that into a better model in retrospect and avoided the inconvenience.

In the end, you really need to go and see the panels personally, and see what you will like. Hard to buy this online without seeing the displays.
