I'm not a gamer. I'm looking for the system that will have better processing power. In particular, for processing hand history and player notes on an SSD for online poker. I'm looking for something for Holdem Manager 2. A graphics card is not needed for this software, just processing power.

If the answer is laptop i5. Then, what about AMD FX6300 Desktop vs Laptop i5-4210U?

Solution
Well in a way your comparing apples to oranges, because i5 mobiles are designed for laptops while A10 is designed for desktops. A10 will beat the i5.
