I put together a list of parts for my first gaming PC, here it is: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Linkin506/saved/DkrPxr Since this is my first gaming PC, I decided to stay on a budget, once I get more money, I will most likely upgrade to an i5 or even an i7 and for the graphics, I could get something with 4GB, (sorry, I am newer with graphics cards and I am not sure which brands is best :p) anyway, for now, I think I am going to be sticking to something like this. I will be playing some older games like Skyrim and some games that don't need to run on a super powerful PC like Dead Island Riptide and Minecraft. What settings do you guys think I can get with this build for games like Skyrim, Dead Island Riptide, Minecraft (with mods and on servers), Metro: Last Light, Bioshock Infinite, Max Payne 3, Hitman: Absolution, and a few other games. If there is anything you guys think I should change, as long as it doesn't increase the price, please tell me, also, I am not looking for more powerful parts, I would just like to hear what people think I can do with this build and if it is any good, thanks guys!

Yes, I was saying that once I get more money, I would upgrade the CPU and GPU, but for now, this is the best I can really do, I would like to just mainly play Minecraft with mods and on servers, do you think it is able to play on good settings and high fps?

Mine craft will be ok, not great but ok, even skyrim will be good for medium settings, but what you have in mind for upgrade is more in line with a replacement. The h97 is limited to locked i5's, so an overclockable version would require a new motherboard too. The only parts that'll transfer to a stronger build are the ram (very nice ram too), the psu (also nice choice) and the Hdd. The rest you'll need to sell to recoup some cash. You'll not be happy trying any of the other games, they'll get miserable performance at best, especially bioshock which has miserable optimization anyway. GL with this.

Alright, so I will probably just make another list using all of your recommendations, but I will most likely never be over clocking. I know you can get some really good performance, but I don't think it is worth the risk. I have a few questions, once I am ready to upgrade, lets just say I already had my PC and I would like to upgrade, where would be the best place to sell the old parts? Also, if someone could make a list that isn't too expensive that is able to play Minecraft with max settings and very high fps with mods and on servers, that would be a big help because that is what I want to play mainly. I can wait to play the other games once I upgrade because I do have an xbox for now, which I might sell to get an even better PC. But for know, if someone could make a list that can do what I asked for under $500, that would be a huge help, thanks again!

This is what I'd do for an upgrade (if you already had the existing parts previously purchased.

Just add the "Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard" to your list instead of the other motherboard. I would also upgrade the RAM to" 8GB G. SKILL CL9 1866 Sniper ".

Then later on you can just add the LGA 1150 K processor and graphics card of your choice for a more powerful system.
