gigabyte ga-h77m-d3h doesn't work with gtx 970

I've purchased the gigabyte 970 gaming and the pcie16 slot doesnt read it.
before I had the spphire 5670hd and it works just fine on both pcie.
I updated bios but still, the computer dosnt seem to move beyond the boot screen.
what can I do?

Yep proper way of doing the change is go into device manager uninstall the card then shut down and physically install the new card and then install the drivers on boot up.
The GTX970 will only work in your top slot since the second slot is X4 speed.
