Hi I bought the high profile corsair vengeance from Amazon for £58 for an upcoming build. However even though people say my setup will fit it will be tight so I am looking to return them for some low profile sticks.

The ones I have now are:
Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL9 XMP Performance Desktop Memory Kit Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004CRSM4I/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_gHj4ub134WZ23

Build

I5 4960k
MSI Z97 GAMING 5
Corsair Hyper 212 evo
R9 285
XFX 650 gold
Corsair Spec 03

I am thinking of returning them for a set of the following:

Corsair CML8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL9 XMP Performance Desktop Memory Kit Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00569K7LM/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_sEj4ub13G54XK

HyperX Savage 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 1600 MHz DDR3 CL9 DIMM XMP Memory Module https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00N8H066A/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_SMj4ub0Q390NG

HyperX Savage 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 1866 MHz DDR3 CL9 DIMM XMP Memory Module https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00N8H07QE/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_UOj4ub156R4KE

Are any of these a good low profile alternative? If so which would be best?

Thanks in advance guys!

performance wise, you would only notice a difference in them by running benchmarks. You would not "see" any real world differences. Which ones are on the Motherboards recommended list, or which ones are gauranteed by the manufacturer to work with your motherboard? Of those on the list which one is less expensive?

If you look at the Kingston site, it says it's compatible with Z97 mobos. Kingston is pretty good about listing systems that it's not compatible with, and there aren't so many Z97 boards available that they couldn't have tested them all. So assuming the board is compatible with the speed and voltage, which yours is, it should work just fine. I don't find motherboard manufacturers' compatibility lists all that helpful as it seems they only test with what DRAM they have on hand. Considering the number of DRAM brands, families, models, and variants, I can't say that I blame them, but it is what it is.
