I restarted my computer after needing to restart for the anti viruses program to find that it wouldn't start again. I have got it checked and the hard drive with the operating system had become corrupted. I have replaced the drive as it couldn't be formatted and reused unfortunately and was wanting to re install the operating system again to find all sorts of problems. The computer had Windows Vista that was upgraded to Windows 7. I am assuming that i need to reinstall Vista and then update to 7 again as I don't like Windows 8.

I have power on the computer with all lights, fans going but no beep. I have tried to install onto the hard drive from the laptop but it wont do that so I have made the files onto a usb stick. I cant access the bios as I have no screen. I have checked that all the parts are working one by one.

I have a ASROCK G41M-VGS3 R2.0, Samsung SyncMaster TFT-LCD Monitor, I cannot list anymore specs on yet as I dont know them off hand.
I know that Ihave an Intel processor and an invidia graphics card.

I hope that someone is able to help me please

Thanks for the quick response Whtwolf.

I have a win 7 key for the upgrade will that still work and another thing is how do I get my computer to read anything e.g. usb, disk, or hard drive and for the monitor to pick up. Thanks in advance.

You can put the Windows ISO on a USB drive, just download the program for bootable USB from the Microsoft site. You should be able to boot straight from the USB, and install it to your hard drive.
