My computer all of s sudden just starts getting really loud and it'll freeze for few seconds then go back to normal. And sometimes one of my programs will stop responding and I can't end the process in task manager, and when I restart when this happens, it restarts but hangs on a black screen. It's very strange. Any ideas?

Solution
Really loud mean fan noise ? If so use a temp monitor like "hwmonitor" (google it) to make sure your temps are OK. If this is an old PC then get a can of compressed air and ($5 at staples) and blow out all the dust in your case. High temps can cause this.

If its not temp then you will get more help if you post your PC specs. model# and brand or parts list if you built it yourself. The more specific you get the more likely you'll get an answer.

Solution
Laptop = Core i7-4900MQ, 16GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M with 2GB of VRAM.

Could be heat. Definately get a can of compressed air and blow out the cooling fan. If you've never done this you will be surprised at the stuff that blows out of a laptop. Definately use a thermal temp monitor (like HWMONITOR) and compare to CPU and video TDP specs.
