I am about to build my first gaming PC. I have a Samsung 850 EVO 120GB SSD and a Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB HDD. I am wanting to have Windows 7 and my main games installed on my SSD while everything else is installed on my Hard Drive. How would I do this?
This will be my upcoming build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6sk3vK

Solution
Only have the SSD plugged into the motherboard when you install Windows - this will guarantee that only the SSD will be seen by the installation.

After you're done installing Windows, shut down and plug in the HDD. Afterwards, when you install games, programs, whatever, you can choose to have the installation go to the SSD or the HDD.

in the browser change the download folder too the hard drive. read on line and use the samsung tools to set the ssd up right in your system. on games and aps you have to do a custom install when the installer box starts on the default drive in the ssd.

Would I keep only my SSD in when I install my drivers? And where would I choose to have the installation of other games, programs, etc go to my HDD

once windows is installed you can power down and then connect the drive and then power back on and install the drivers. for games and aps you make a folder on the hard drive like D:\games. then install all your games in that folder.
same would be for D:\aps. for your word and other aps.

No, you can have the HDD plugged in when you install drivers.

Almost all installers have a point in them where you can choose where the installation goes. Sometimes it's buried under a "Custom Installation" menu, but usually there's an option to change the installation location.
