Asus maximus hero vii comparable with my video card???

Basically I've been putting alot of money and time into building this computer and I need to know if the stuff is comparable with each other. Here's the mother board video card and and cpu

It might have been worth it if you went for the GTX 970 straight away, rather than waiting for two 960's. With such an awesome board and CPU combo I would have gone all out.
