I put together a list of parts for my first gaming PC for under $700, here is the list of parts: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Linkin506/saved/jTfRsY What do you guys think? Please tell me if all the parts are compatible, good quality, and what settings this build is able to play Dying Light, The Evil Within, Skyrim, Minecraft, Max Payne 3, Metro: Last Light, Bioshock Infinite, and a few other games and how much FPS. I will most likely be able to get this PC, and everything else like the monitor, OS, optical drive, keyboard, mouse, and anything else in July, because right now I have $320 and my birthday is in July, I usually get around $300-$400 from my whole family, I will also sell my laptop for $185 because on a site, it said it is worth that much, I might make a few extra bucks through that time so I will have about $850-$900, I might be able to get better parts if I do get that much! Anyway, I hope you guys can help, and PLEASE, as best as you can, try to estimate how good it can handle some of the games I listed above, it will be a HUGE help, thanks a lot guys!!

Hello

I'd use the ASRrock H97M-Pro4 board. It costs a bit more but it is more robust.
I'd use cheaper memory. Why did you select low voltage?

The limiting factor in this build will be the GPU, so I would be saving every penny I can to buy the best GPU I can't quite afford. The other parts are good. A bit more will get you a 290, for under $900, you can have a 970.

You have selected an excellent PSU. 550W is about the minimum I'd run this system on. 100W for the system, 250W, for the GPU and no more than 70% of the PSU rating in regular use.

I disagree with you... The specs for the card he select says min. PSU as being 650W... and you forgot he mentioned he was on a budget.. Many people agree that unless you plan on gaming at resolutions higher than 1080p... a more powerful card would be a waste of money.

I know what the specs say, but they allow for weaker builder-grade PSUs.. A GTX970 may be more powerful, but it uses much less power than the OP's choice. He also mentioned selling his laptop and increasing the budget to $900 and is looking to buy in 5 or 6 months.I expect there to be bargains by then.

If the OP decides on a good configuration, they can snipe the parts over the next months as they, or their equivalent, come on sale, and should result in a decent saving.

@CPU506 with the change to pcpartpicker yesterday, your link no longer works for me.

Ok! I've been around this pc stuff for almost a year now. I've built 3 configurations and with that budget I see an amazing build for you. Look, I know you are looking at 900 dollars, but if u can come up with some more cash, this build is perfect for you. It will play any of those games above 60 fps. Way beyond. By the way, you could shave off some of that cash depending on some preference choices. I hope you build this configuration. Let me know how it is if you do.
