So, a couple of months ago I decided to upgrade my pc, it is an acer aspire ax3950, I moved the motherboard HDD and DVDRW to another case and bought a gtx 660 3gb and a thermaltake 600w PSU. I can play non-graphic-intensive games like super meatboy or minecraft but when I play something more demanding it shuts down after minutes or at times 1 hour and it reboots.

my specs are:

CPU: I3 540 @ 3.07GHz
GPU: gtx 660 3gb
PSU: thermaltake 600w
OS: win7 ultimate

Any help?

well, I figured out what was causing the shutdown. I checked my GTX660 box and it stated that I needed a minimal 28 amps on the +12V rail, I checked my PSU and it only had 18 amps, so I bought another PSU that had 72 amps on the +12V and it fixed the issue. Hope this helps someone out there...

is your old PSU have multiple 12v rail? for gaming machine many recommended PSU with strong single rail.
