Hey guys, I've never done this before so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Processor : AMD FX-6300
Motherboard : Asus AM3 Plus AMD760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard M5A78L-M LX PLUS
Graphics card : EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
Power supply : EVGA 430 W
Ram : Kingston HyperX Fury 8 GB (2X4GB)
Hard drive : Western digital 1TB
Mini-tower : Cooler Master N200

I'm not looking for anything too fancy. I'm basically a casual gamer tired of playing on a shitty laptop. Thanks for the help!

This would be a little more, but a little better performance and a better upgrade path.

don't get i3 get the amd 6300 it will run current gen games better i3 might only run older games better but amd 6300 is probably overkill for oldermgames that use 2 cores anyway...less overkill for older games than i3 but still enough and plus it whops i3 in next gen games.

Please stop spreading rumors about AMD processors they are equal to an intel. Not every gaming build must have an intel one, AMD processors can handle games equally. In conclusion take what you think is better for your budget, I do not say that an intel will not perform slightly better but the performance difference will not be noticeable(it really won't you will lose about 5 fps max if non). And in some cases an AMD outperforms an intel one(which by the way costs 30% to 40% more). Also in new generation games the i3 will struggle as it only has 2 cores.
