Using 2 different Graphics cards on one computer?

I have a Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 XT with Boost. I was wondering if I will be able to add another graphics card to get better graphics ofcourse. Also it might help with rendering videos fast too. I do have this thing called "Crossfire" that came with my card. My motherboard is Asus M5A97 LE R2.0

Your motherboard does not support multiple cards. The secondary slot runs in x4 mode, meaning it would bottleneck any card decent enough to Xfire with the one you have now.
I would recommend a single, more powerful card.
