AsRock B85M-GL: Will not post with brand new CPU

So I recently got my Pentium G3258 from newegg for the motherboard that I mentioned in the title of the thread, I socketed it and was confused when I found out that it wouldn't post.
I later figured out that my board's current bios version was 1.0, a version that doesn't support Haswell-R processors. That wouldn't be a problem if I had an older socket 1150 CPU, but the only other socket 1150 CPU that I have is my i5 4690k, which also happens to be on the 'unsupported' list.

I'm wondering if there's a way to flash the bios on my motherboard with the at-the-moment unsupported CPU, or will I have to buy a whole new motherboard or CPU altogether?

Solution
Hopefully a friend might let you borrow a compatible CPU just for doing the BIOS update.
There is no other way - - you do need a compatible CPU to make the system POST, as updating the BIOS is impossible otherwise.

That's pretty ridiculous, I was hoping that there would be atleast one other way, but I might be able to snag my friend's spare 4770k that he has just lying around (which is even more ridiculous) to do the update.

Thanks,
