Hey yall I'm building my first computer since the mid late 90's lol alot has changed. Anywho I will be mostly gameing with a little video editing and rendering and basic 3ď graphics design. So if you would rate my posible build would be apreciated.

I would prefer an amd build but know it's unlikely lol. Budget is 1500-2000$ monitor included.

That's a solid build. I see no problems. That thing will destroy everything you throw at it.

The only thing I would change is the CM Storm combo. I own the same thing, and while the keyboard is decent, the mouse is junk, and they keyboard is starting to mess up. I've only had them for a few months, as well.

Invest in a good keyboard and mouse. I recommend a RAT3 and a Corsair mechanical keyboard.

Well glad it's nothing to major last time I built a computer you needed a separate chip for everything and 512mb of ram 1gig of storage and a 1.2ghz processor was alot :p

Changes:
1) RAM. Instead of 1600 CL10 how about 2133 CL10 for $5 less? sounds good to me.
2) CPU cooler. I love quiet fans and Noctua is king.
3) PSU. Grab a 750W in case you want to add a second 970.

Okay 2 things
1) what's the point in the 2133 ram like I said not built since the 90's.
2) the rm psu is preference due to have in used the brand with no problems the last 15 years.

1. Some applications 2133 can be better. Since the RAM you chose and the 2133 I listed are CL10 then the 2133 is considered better. Also, $5 less. Win win.
2. The new RM series is a little disappointing. In tests it didn't fair so well. I'd choose a different PSU. But make sure to get 750W. That way you can safely overclock the CPU and GPU, and add a second GPU.

Okay so the one thing I did note on the ram is it is over my cpu refresh. Cpu is rated 1.5v where the 2133 ram is rated 1.6 will that make a big difference is its operating?

Removed sound card (the integrated one is just as good), high voltage RAM and mail-ins. I think it'll be good to add another monitor.

Solution

That is normal and fine for higher frequency RAM. And it is safe. If it was 1600MHz 1.65V then it isn't recommended. Only once you reach 1866 or 2133MHz should you notice it.

Are you set on the case? I'd suggest others with better airflow.
