Hi, trying to build my editing pc, very conflicted between AMD and Intel i7. How reliable is AMD and what are the drawbacks? Intel i7 4770 k vs AMD fx 9590/

The 4770K is better at stock that the 9590 and if you OC the 4770K it runs away even further ahead of the 9590. AMD is a can be a very good CPU for video editing in particular, though I would go with the 8350 or 8370. You can OC them to same performance as the 9590 and don't need a giant PSU to do so (the 9590 calls for a 1,000 watt PSU as it's a 220 watt CPU)
