I have just done a fresh install of win 7 64bit on a gb z87x ud5h board. Its a blank install, no programs, antivirus etc, just all the board drivers etc.

I'm having a very strange issue with internet connectivity where the network icon shows connected, but pages take long to load. (waiting for google.com). When I access the router config page its the same thing. If I close down browser then re open it sometimes works, although theres still too much delay on loading pages. I'm hardwired with ethernet cable and also tried different cables and swapping ports on the router with no success.

My other computer and wireless devices that are connected to the same router are working flawlessly. No lag, no taking long to load pages etc. Theres 2 lan ports on this board and I've tried both with same results. I have also uninstalled/reinstalled network drivers. I have no clue now.

If someone could please advise, or have any thoughts on this I would love some help.

I am aware that these boards have issues with usb 3 ports dying etc, not sure if its relevent but mine are working fine.

Thanks

I'm just approaching 1 year old too on feb 22. Judging from other reviews Gigabyte take too long to respond to warranty or technical issues so dont really fancy going through the hassle of support. Unacceptable for such a high price board imo.

So to hell with it, Im now looking for a new MBoard. Might as well be z97 now. Can anyone recommend a high end board that has at least one Pci slot that wont get in the way of a double slot gpu. I have an Rme Pci sound card that I need to keep going for my daw and the pcie equivelent is way too expensive especially since the pci version is still an excellent card. This was my first gigabyte board and it seems it will be the last. Only ever had experience with asus boards and never with msi or asrock. Any advice appreciated

Thanks

i'm not using gigabite but do have a similar issue as you stated .. I figured it was a windows 7/ie11 thing or a provider thing or a modem/antenna ?? funny though it will do as you said sometimes and sometimes it loads things quick and as normal -- thing is like you said your waiting on google so it would point to a google thing .. this is what I found to be the oddity in it like tom's this page would load quick with out issues then I may check another thread and get that waiting on tom's and just sit there on that ??
