Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a new PC to be able to run FSX and poss P3d (in the future) at max settings without frames going below 10.

Please advise if the below would be fine:

i7-4790K Quad Core 4.00 GHz 30% OC'd

Corsair Hydro Series H100 Performance

480GB Kingston SSDNow V300 SATA III

8GB DDR3/2133mhz Kingston Hyper X Memory

ASUS Maximus VII Ranger

Windows 7 Professional 64

Corsair 600 Watts CX600M

GeForce GTX 970 4GB

I appreciate any comments before I buy this thing

Thanks!

I don't have that option sadly, I'm buying from a custom PC builder, I do have the choice of the following:

ASUS Z97-A

ASUS Z97 Sabertooth Mark 2

ASUS Maximus VII Ranger

Gigabyte Z97X-SLI

Gigabyte Z97X-SOC

Gigabyte G1.Sniper

MSI Z97-G55 SLI

Okay many thanks and for the Samsung Evo upgrade, if I can afford it I will go with 500gb. I'm only going with the Kingston 480 because of limited options and it's £50 less than the Evo

The power supply however is a problem, the builder only recommends the following and as the Corsair AX is available and was stated to be a Tier 1, it's 1200W and I have no intention of buying into SLI as I don't need it plus it's £190 more!:

Cooler Master 600 Watts B600 B2

Corsair 600 Watts CX600M Modular

Cooler Master 700 Watts B700 B2

Corsair 750 Watts CX750

Cooler Master 850watt Silent Pro M2 Modular

Cooler Master 1000watt Silent Pro M2 Modular
