im planning on getting a corsair 200r case that has two 3.0 ports however im also getting a Edimax Wireless Nano USB Adapter that is ub 2.0 my question is will it work?

usb is backwards compatible so yes, it will work. You can also use the usb ports in the back i/o panel of the motherboard, the ports on the case are preferred for things like thumb drives and other mobile stuff, no point using them with the more permanent stuff.
