Computer suddenly shuts down around 1 minute after using it from sleep.

(noob here :( ) put my computer to sleep, then around 30 mins later used it again. suddenly, it shuts down out of nowhere, so i restarted it. then, it doesn't even finish booting up before shutting down automatically again. so, i opened the computer's casing before turning it back on a second time. i then noticed the cpu fan didn't spin when the computer was turned on. so i had to manually "flip" the fan for it to start spinning. after that, it seems to work fine up to now. does this mean my fan needs replacing? also wondering if this kind of auto shutdown can damage other hardware. thanks a lot :D

Yes, you need to replace your fan ASAP. Take a measurement from one screw hole to another (NOT diagonal) and that is the type of fan you need (normally 80mm, 92mm, 120mm, 140mm)
