I have a Motorola Surfboar extreme wireless cable modem & gigabit Router DOCSIS 3.0.

My problem is that it doesn't stay connected to the internet. I have Charter Cable and they say its the modem. We have to constantly unplug it and replug it in. Have any clues as to what it might be?

They are supposed to be able to manage the modem remotely.

Have you tried a factory reset of it? You'd have to set up your wireless settings again but that doesn't take long.

You can do the factory reset in the modem webpage, or press and hold down the reset button on the rear of the modem with an unbent paper clip.
