Symptoms:
BSOD's usually happen when the computer is near idle, though they occasionally happen in-game

Right before the BSOD, everything will slow down A LOT for about a quarter of a second, then audio will freeze and screens go black then the blue screen itself comes up.

Happens with no discernible pattern that I can pick up, though it is noteworthy that it has never happened when I am not using the computer (i usually leave it on for extended periods of time - sometimes up to a few days, and it never happens when I'm not there)

Specs:
i7 4770k (stock speeds)
corsair h100i
asus z87 sabertooth TUF edition w/ backplate
8gb (2x4) 1600mhz ram (don't know the brand)
16gb (2x8) 1300mhz ram (total of 24gb, all running at 1300)
wd caviar blue 1tb
samsung 840 pro 256gb
2x PNY gtx 970's in SLI
cooler master silent pro 850W (getting pretty old now, had it since mid 2011)
cmstorm trooper case w/ window
3 x AOC 23" monitors @5760x1080

To the best of my knowledge, yes. All of the intel chipset drivers / storage drivers are installed, along with newest gpu drivers. I'm not 100% sure about the latest bios though.

Does it do it when you remove one of the sets of RAM?
Also Could you disable automatically restart on BSOD and not down the error code:

I removed the 16gb set a couple days ago, and so far I haven't had one. However, this is not a long enough amount of time to know if that is the problem since the BSOD happens usually every couple days to a week.

As far as the BSOD codes, is there any way to view past ones? I haven't seen it BSOD in a few days, so I don't know when I'll be able to catch it next time (though I did just go in and disable auto restart a few mins ago)

I use AVG free.

Also, I got another BSOD today when I clicked exit on Saints Row 4, not sure if that helps anything.
