Hi there

well, my question is kind of tricky...

too many people said that to a build with SSDs is better to deactivate the Paging File System to reduce the Reading/Writing and possible reduction of performance over time...

too many others recomen that on build with HDD you HAVE TO keep this option activated to increase the performance over time (like Prefetch and superfetch)...

but what about those who have both? like i do, having the SSD for OS and some games, and the HDD full of games and storage stuffs...

what system options should i have to use and what others do not?

(sorry if i don't make my-self understand, english is not my first language...)

So reduce your page file. See what happens. If you run into any performance issues (unlikely), bump it up some.

Disabling the page file for SSD's is an old practice. There is no need for it these days.

It came about a few years back when SSD's were fairly new to the market. They had relatively short lifespans compared to HDD's due to a limited number of read/write cycles. To improve potential lifespan you would disable the page file, preventing a lot of read/write cycles.

SSD's have now advanced significantly in almost every aspect. If anything they are more reliable than HDD's (at least at consumer grade). Prime example would be Samsung 850 Pro which ships with a 10-year warranty.

TL;DL
Removing the page file was a workaround to a problem that no longer exists.

Yep. Windows allocates far too much anyway. I have mine limited to 2GB because if left to automatic settings Windows would take up nearly 12GB for a page file. That is 10% of my drive!
