Hello,

So basically I got my new computer setup and what's happening is that when I've had my computer on for more then 5 hours my computer starts to lag and when it first starts up it lags too. I don't know why? My computer will sometimes freeze to the point where it gets a blue screen with the code: 0x0000003b and this happens randomly when playing a game about once a day (Which is very annoying when playing CS:GO Comp). I have looked it and it suppose to be a graphical driver error and I have all the latest drivers installed but I eve tried re-installing my OS and the problem still persists. I have not overclocked anything and it only recently started doing this when I installed my graphics card and by god I hope it is not faulty which It can't be if I'm able to run games at max graphics...

My computer specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Stock Intel Cooler
Motherboard: MSI Z97-GAMING 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V (No the 0.5gb isn't affecting it)
PSU: Corsair CX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer
Please can anyone help me? I really would like to get this error fixed and I have tried searching online.

Aaaah, now this is interesting. I've seen this issue before.... waaaay to many times. All of which are occuring for a GTX 970. Browsed countless of threads on various websites, but to no avail; there are no known fixes yet.
It is in fact a GPU driver problem, as indicated by the '3b' part of the error message.

Furthermore, is there no consistency in the bluescreens you're dealing with, or is it not completely random? You said the stuttering happens in online games, so do the bluescreen occur more oftenly during online games than offline games, for instance??

No it just randomly happens, it hasn't happened today yet. But it happens more on online games I feel because I only really play CS:GO and I've had it alot on there and tried to get one earlier to try read the dump file but no success. But I'm not sure because the blue screens are completely random...?

I got another blue screen, 3 times in a row. And now the error code is: 116
I used WhoCrashed to analyse it:

"On Tue 17/02/2015 13:04:38 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\021715-22588-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: nvlddmkm.sys (nvlddmkm+0x7A3F38)
Bugcheck code: 0x116 (0xFFFFFA8007E6B010, 0xFFFFF8800508FF38, 0xFFFFFFFFC000009A, 0x4)
Error: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\nvlddmkm.sys
product: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 347.52
company: NVIDIA Corporation
description: NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 347.52
Bug check description: This indicates that an attempt to reset the display driver and recover from a timeout failed.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: nvlddmkm.sys (NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 347.52 , NVIDIA Corporation).
Google query: NVIDIA Corporation VIDEO_TDR_ERROR"

Methinks it could be ramgate showing it's true colors. CS:GO is really easy to max so he probably has it maxed; I'm ever so slightly talking outta my rear here but could it be that 3.5GB+ of VRAM is being used, making the 970 show its' issues?

You are completely talking out of your rear.

1) there is no way in hell CS:GO could use that amount of vram.
2) the 970 vram "issue" doesnt result in a driver crash anyway.

Yeah, I just had to restart my router because when I fixed the original issue it messed up the connection for some reason. What I did to fix the issue was unistall MSI Supercharger and switched the mode on the MSI gaming app from "Gaming" to "Slient" That seemed to fix it and haven't had an issue since.
