Hello all and thank you for helping me out. I have decide to move from gaming laptops, that cost me around $2500 to a brand new GAMING desktop. Unfortunate there are so many options out there, especially when it comes to motherboards, power supplies, towers etc that it's not fun trying to put a system together so I will appreciate for any expert advice:

  • Mid Tower: Anything as long as it can keep up with the system we build.
    CPU: i7-5820K Six-Core 3.30GHz 15MB (6 Cores too much for gaming?)
CPU / Processor Cooling Fan: Feed back Needed
Motherboard: Feed back Needed , Wifi must included
    RAM: DDR4 2400MHz 32GB (4GBx8) (Brand?)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4GB GDDR5 or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 (SLI)
Power Supply: Need an Ultra Quiet Power 850Watts (Is it enough)?
    HD: 1 SSD + 2x1TB (Raid 0)
Mouse / Keyboard : Gaming ones?
    Head Set: Feed Back needed
    Operating System: Windows 8.1 64bit
    Screen: Size / Resolution

That is a bit overbuilt for gaming. Most of the upper-end CPUs will drive two of the best GPUs. 8Gb is enough for gaming, and even 16Gb is plenty.

Your preferred screen size and resolution makes a difference. 1080p vs 4k? 60 to 144Khz one, two, or three monitors???

No single GPU can drive 4K at ultra settings at the moment. How much do you want to spend? I assume that you are in the US.

Do you want to do anything other than gaming? (What games?)

idk what your budget is ill just assume its tight if you reply with your budget and if you want to overclock ill send you the links to some parts. i7 is overkill for gaming i5 is better for gaming. cpu cooler only needed if you overclock. and $60 motherboard will do 32gb of ram useless for gaming 8gb is perfect. i have a 970 but the 980 will be better. that power supply is overkill. no need for ssd except faster boot times a waste if you ask me get a 3tb hdd instead. any mouse and keyboard will do. You can get windows free. any 1920x1080 60ghz monitor.

How can Windows be obtained for free, legally? Inquiring minds want to know.

case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139013
mobo: i would go with either a good MSI or ASUS gaming board personally like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130795&cm_re=lga_2011-_-13-130-795-_-Product or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132286&cm_re=asus_lga_2011-_-13-132-286-_-Product
cpu: i7 5820k (6 core is fine for gaming, just not all games will benefit)
ram: corsair vengeance, gskill trident x, or kingston hyperx would be my best choices.
gpu: if you can get the gtx 970's sli i would go for that since they will outperform a single gtx 980. and even with games that don't optimize for sli/cf a single gtx 970 is still enough to max setting on any game.
psu:i personally have a rosewell lightning 1000w and it is quite and performs great. but other then my opinion i would suggest maybe a nice corsair or seasonic.
ssd/hdd: samsung 850 pro all the way (best support and software) and 2 seagate or WD sata3 6gb solid state hybrid drives for raid 0, or WD raptur hdd's
mouse/keyboard: best for the money i think are the redragon here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA7062GJ1987&cm_re=redragon_perdition-_-9SIA7062GJ1987-_-Product and a logitech g19 keyboard with either a logitech g13 or a razer tartarus/ or orbeweaver gaming keypad
headset: not sure never use them :0(
screen size 2k or 4k monitor is best res atm

I understand the "overkill" today but I don't want to do this every year. I have no idea how to do overclock and I don't care about it. My budget is between 2000-2500. Of-course anything lower than this will be much appreciated.

This will last a while; three years at least. A second GPU can be added as can two more monitors for 'surround' gaming, and the CPU can be upgraded and memory doubled.
