Yet my gpu is a sapphire r9 280 dual x oc but im going to send it back because it's deffective... Im planning to rma it and buy one of these cards (actually im going to pay the balance between them and the current gpu). So the first one is the r9 290 tri-x oc (~170 $ by paying the balance) and the next one is EVGA GEFORCE GTX970 SUPERCLOCKED (~210 $) Which card is the best for me ? I want to play games on ultra , and to be kinda futerproof.(Do you think any of the new cards im planning to buy, would be bottlenecked by the fx 6100 ? )

My rig :
Fx 6100 4.4 ghz oc
R9 280 (Sapphire dual x)
8 gb ram kingston hyper-x
750 w RM 750 Corsair
Asrock fatal1ty 970 perfomance

Solution
honestly the 970 chipset is that efficient that as long as you have decent case airflow I dont see even a single fan model running any hotter than that 290 tri-x,probably noisier fan wise but thats all.
the 970 pulls 160-170w under full load, the 290 pulls at least 80w more than that, its just a lot lot cooler in general full stop.
my old 280x used to hit 80c in my htpc case when gaming ( my main reason for swapping to the 970) - the 970 rarely gets above 65c - & cooler wise they were pretty much the same twin 90mm fans.

the 290 and 970 honestly perform similar but the 970 will handle higher resolutions go for the 970 since it does not use a lot of power

^ an 8350 isn't going to perform any better than his current 6100 at those clock speeds.

Go with the 970 for the sake of $40 more.
Its worth the extra for the 15c drop in temps alone IMO.
You'll generally be able to max settings on games & forget about it.
99% of the time you'll get a solid 60fps frame lock apart from those instances where you get dropped frames the same as any amd CPU owner.
Coming from a 6300@4.2ghz & gtx 970 owner here.

Do you have the coil whine problem ? If so, is it really annoying ?

Never suffered from a card with coil whine in over 30 builds mate - lucky I guess .
currently running a galax exoc card ( unavailable in the us as far as I know) - not one report of any kind of coil whine on a galax card anywhere as far as Ive seen.
I suppose its luck of the draw though

Propably lucky asf :p So the 970 i want is this ( http://www.e-shop.gr/evga-geforce-gtx970-superclocked-4... ) im playing on a 1920 x1200 lg 24 inch monitor kinda old ( flatron if you know :p ) I guess it wont have any problem right ? Also do you think this version of evga ( single small fan) would get overheat ? I know it's better with 2 fans but, dude, it's too expensive :/
