Overclocking Memory Issues.

So I just built a new pc and I am trying to get my ram to run at 2133. When I check the bios it is running at 1333.
AMD FX 8350
G.Skill 2x8 gb DDR3 @ 2133
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
Corsair HX850 gold
Sapphire Dual x r9 280 x2

I keep getting an error when I change it to the correct timings and voltage and restart.

Did you use DOCP, XMP or set up manually? Try manual set up to 2133 with proper timings, CR at 2N or 2T, DRAM voltage 1.7 (if it's a 1.65 set), raise the CPU/NB voltage to 1.3 and try.

I tried using the xmp profile 1 and that didn't work. I read somewhere that was for intel?? I then tried to set the timings manually and that didn't work either.

May have a weaker MC on your 8350 and need a bit of an OC to the CPU to run 16GB at 2133 - could try the OC or drop to 1866

I think I found the problem, My Mobo Only suppports up to 2000 OC memory and I am trying to run it at 2133, so I need to run it at 1866.

Could well be, that ot the CPU's MC (memory controller, just can't handle the 2133, the AMDs are rated up too 1866
