Hello,

I have just built a new desktop computer, and have not installed windows 7 yet. I was wondering if there is a way to slim down windows 7 so that it takes up less disk space. I would like the partition to be around the 60-70GB mark (or even less) and keep the OS small enough to fit comfortably.

Preferably I would like it to be slimmed down before the install so I do not uave to resise the partition arter the install, but if that is too hard or not posible I can do it when it is on he new PC.

Thankyou for your help.
Just ask if I have made anything unclear or missed an important detail. :)

Solution
Disable the hiberfile, limit system restore size, make sure trim is enabled, and partition the drive so only the OS is on the C volume, and install everything to the 2nd volume.
