How exactly will direct x 12 effect gaming

guys..how exactly is direct x 12 going to effect gaming? Will it improve cpu scaling?..which implies people with 8 core processors will get better framerates...?? IF that is the case...i can get an year old i7 3770 (non k) for 232$ and a fx 8350 (brand new) for 225$...which would be the better option??

Why not just stick with your i5 and wait for dx12 and a few dx12 games to release and see what happens. Right now no one really knows any answer will be speculation. Currently there is no real reason to go with the i7 over an i5 for gaming and the i5 is better than the 8350.

Yeah, let us whip out that magic 8 ball and tell you... bottom line - we have no idea, the very limited, highly engineered (as in bullshit synthetics specifically aimed to use specific DX12 advantages, carefully calibrated to show how amazing DX12 is) benchmarks released did not show anything conclusive besides DX12>DX11 duh... CPU wise, I think they capped at 4 cores pretty much and this is not an indication to anything.
