Looking for some motherboards that are compatible with i7 4th generation processor (budget -160 to 240 usd)

hello guys ,

Im newbie in hardware world:) . please suggest me some good motherboards that are compatible with i7 4th generation processors . I play lot of online games and my budget is around 160- 250 dollars . if possible suggest me the motherboard and a processor combos [ range for cpu and motherboard (640 usd) ] . Im planning to upgrade GPU later

You really can't go wrong picking a Asus or Gigabyte board. Just comes down to features you want vs "good-ness". The same chip set on different boards perform so closely that it doesn't really matter from a performance standpoint. Your internet connection will affect your results more than the tiny differences between boards. Go for features vs performance hype.

I have found my Asus to be stable and trouble free, their cust service sucks badly though if you need something. They act like you stole your equipment and make you jump through hoops proving you own it.

this looks good and not expensive...leaves more $$$ for other stuff that'll matter more.

if you have a local micro center they have 40.00 cpu and ram instant combo deals. there slso more combo deals on there flyers. with lower end mb make sure the video slots if your going to crossfire or sli are 16x then 8x 8x. 16x is one card pci speed. two cards are 8x each. some mb have the slots wired at 16x/4x.
