Yes, R9 270x will be better choice. R9 290X Vapor-X has very good cooling system. Sapphire really make good cards. After another in future so it will make it unleashed and best for video editing. Best luck.

As far as about that the Of coures I will choose R9 290x crossfire. But if you are worried worth temps then I will suggest r9 295×2 water cooled. It will give best performance and will never heat up. With more VCore and VRAM than others. Best for long time use and video editing and gaming.
