The VI Hero C2 is a little cheaper than the VII Hero, however i can't see much difference. Do they both have the same features?

Solution
The Maximus VII Hero supports the new Devil's Canyon chips (Z97) and has a few extra bells and whistles the VI doesn't, but they're both good boards.

However, if you bought a 4690K or a 4790K, you will need the Maximus VII Hero. The Maximus VI hero will work, but you need to BIOS update it first before it will support those chips.

Ah ok, i bought a 4790K, i guess the little extra cost is worth the convenience of it being ready to go out of the box.
