I am using Lenovo B40 laptop, I got Windows 8.1 x64 pre installed in C: drive with only 1 partition C. (GPT type)

I resized the C: partition and created 4 partitions,
I tried to Install Windows 7 x64 in UEFI mode or Legacy mode in D: partition(Dual Boot), but I got GPT error in UEFI mode and ACPI bios not compliant in Legacy mode.

So I want to format my HDD into MBR type and install Windows 7 in C: and PreInstalled Windows 8.1 in D: (I will use Windows 7 mostly, but I want to keep Windows 8.1 too, as we may get free upgrade to Windows 10)

How to achieve this target?

Or Is there any possibility that without changing GPT to MBR, I can install Windows 7 x64 in D:

Solution
Rather than the complexity of the solution you’ve described where you are essentially forced to reformat the system drive and reinstall (or reimage) the entire system, you may want to consider the Boot to VHD solution for installing on a disk that is formatted with a different partitioning scheme than required for boot. See Enable Boot to VHD with BIOS and GPT for a walkthrough of how to set this up.
