Hey there... I am planning to build a new PC, but i dont know what to choose, i was looking between the Xeon E5 2620 and a i7 5820K, this build will mainly use for programs like Maya, 3D Max, Autocad, etc. also i´m planning to get a Quadro K2200, do you have any suggestion of what i should choose and why? Thanks in advance.

Solution
The Intel 5820k is much better, as it is able to OC, and has the same amount of cache & has a higher base clock then the Xeon.

The 5820k is the way to go.
I think this is a trick question. the Xeon E5-2620 is a 2S scalability processor. THat means it *has* to go in a 2-socket configuration and won't work in other configurations. One has to wonder why and how the OP came to pick that particular model to compare to the Intel i7 5820K.

That's absolutely not true, you CAN scale the Xeon and put two in one Mainboard but you won't have to. You can put an E5-2620 in a single socket workstation mainboard and it will work just fine.
