Hey, just curious, have 3 ssds, 128gbx1, 240gbx2 (all different brands) and one wd 1tb black. Also have 2 older 320gb hdd still working well, but nothing special.
How should i set these up? 128 i think for OS. The other 2 ssds for programs and games? And the rest for storage? Any configs that will give better performance?
Thanks

Only slightly. Not anything that you'd really notice.

If I were building it today with those 3 SSD's (and the other HDDs), the OS and applications would go on one of the 250GB drives, simply because of space.

In my use, the 120GB works perfectly, and it is really not worth the hassle to try to change to one of the other drives.

That is (almost) exactly how I have my current system set up.
OS and applications on the 120GB, the other two for other stuff.

The only reason the OS and applications still live on the original 120GB SSD is because I added the two 250GB SSDs much later, and everything is working perfectly on the original 120GB SSD.

However, if I were setting this up from scratch, I would use one of the 250GB SSD for the OS and applications. Having the OS on one, and applications on another, doesn't really benefit much. In case of an OS reinstall, you still have to reinstall all the applications.
Just have that all on one drive.

Other things live on other drives. Games, video, music, docs, etc.

I am guessing because the 240gb drives usually have a bit better read/write speeds?
