Hi,
i have been considering adding a nvidia gpu to my build solely for rendering in blender and other software, so the nvidia card wouldn't be running any kind of monitor etc just there for renders.

Specs atm:
Amd fx 8350 overclocked to 4.7GHz
Crosshair V formula-z
2x R9 280x toxic in corssfire
Corsair RM1000

You can run an AMD card as your GPU and an Nvidia card as a Physx processor, but other than that it's either or. Nvidia may expand on this in the future, but I wouldn't waste the money on an Nvidia GPU just for Physx.

EDIT: My bad, it appears Nvidia disabled this feature sometime last year. Either way it wasn't worth the money.

Actually, I think that was a hacked-together driver in the first place, just it got outdated and stopped working with new cards.
