Going to put as much detail as I possibly can.

I've been running a GTX 460 for months. No problems. Ever.
I have a GTX 570 HD that was given to me and when I put it in, it will cause a black screen and the fans to go full speed after a few minutes.
I have a 600W power supply, so I thought it could be that.
I disconnected everything but the essentials, same issue.

I borrowed an 850W to test my theory.
I played for HOURS last night with no issues with the 570 and the 850W.
Get on this morning..
Same issue happened again immediately after opening CS GO.

MB, CPU and RAM are pretty much brand new. And this issue does not happen with any other card in the machine.

Any ideas?

Solution
Simple uninstall will not do. It leaves a lot of traces behind which will cause driver conflict with an older / newer generation card.
Download this tool for the job

Alternatively you can do it manually following this
http://www.overclock.net/t/1150443/how-to-remove-your-nvidia-gpu-drivers
But it is very risky, unless you are very sure of what you are doing. The DDU tool is much safer.
There maybe other issues also (like the PSU as you guessed), but let's go through this methodically, starting from the simplest point, before you end up buying something :)
