Hey guys, it's me again. as it turns out I did everything okay on my rig, but I wasn't getting any video, and some error lights were on. I took it to a repair shop and they told me that the mobo just needed to be reset to factory default-- which is weird, because I bought all the parts new off Newegg.

Anyway, they did the default settings for the mobo, and now one can get into the bios, which is great.

The only problem is, they put both memory sticks on the far right two slots. I asked them about this, and they said that that's a better way.

Is this true? I was under the distinct impression that you put one in the second, and the other one in the fourth. I looked through the manual and I don't see anything that specifies, but the diagram they have definitely shows slots 2 and 4.

What say you guys? I trust you. Thanks so much!

From page 18 of your manual:

Put it in slot A2 and B2 which are the lighter coloured ones I believe. I would trust the manual more than the shop guys.

Thanks man. My next question will probably sound stupid but I have to ask-- will swapping the sticks mess up my rig so that I won't be able to reach bios?

I really don't understand what they did to be able to reach bios. When I was first trying to start it up, there was no video. I swapped the memory around in different slots and sometimes I got beeps. Other times it would start up and the MEM LED light would go off, but then the rig would reset. At no point was I able to reach the bios or get video.

Do you have any insight on that? Thanks buddy
