Saved up 800$ for a video camera for our boxing fights and im wondering if i should get a DSLR camera or a camcorder.

Any suggestions to models or a link

Solution
Please do get a camcorder, unless you want to take stills as well.

Pros of getting a DSLR:
- Option of taking stills too
- More 'cinematic' visuals (Can vary depending on camera's sensor)
- More manual control over settings
- Good opportunity for future upgrades

Cons of getting a DSLR:
- More expensive
- SLR's are combersome and require a lot of patience
- SLR's take time to setup (Time you may not have when a boxing match begins)
- Usually the kit lenses are bad and can also restrict the angles/zoom you can achieve

essentially, get a camcorder and save the hassles of a DSLR. They are typically bad for fast moving/action type stuff.
