Hello, im planning to buy a new pc with core i7 4790K 16 GB ram and some GPU for computing computer graphics, like rendering etc. Buy i will be also using it mainly for agisoft photoscan software, software that uses heavy GPU via opencl ("protocol" or whatever it is)...

That will be my main use for this pc, as a defacto renderfarm, mainly for agisoft photoscan, im not sure about which GPU card to pick. Nvidia gtx 960 2 GB or ATI R9 280 (or 280x) or something else in this price range...?

I have read that opencl is not good with nvidia cards due to some not optimal drivers for it, so ati cards should have a big advantage computing openCL stuff.

So for my situation, which card would you recomend?

Solution
Yep, I would suggest that AMD cards have a significant price-performacne advantage in that area.

If you ever come across a benchmark or two, please post them here. :)
