Ok so in a previous thread i created, and with help from you guys, I have come to the conclusion that my CPU is causing somewhat of a bottleneck, so I'm wondering if i should get a new CPU or start building a new rig? I know building a new rig sounds a lot to get rid of a bottleneck haha! But I'm tempted to futureproof my system.
I have a Gigabyte 970a ud3p motherboard, with a AMD FX 6350 six-core processor (AM3+ socket) and a AMD Sapphire Toxic R9 270x GPU, and have been told my CPU is the bottleneck, but I'm tempted to go for the intel/nvidia combo, so should i fork out money on a better AMD CPU or put money away and go for intel i7 + nvidia gtx 980 in a new build.

Thanks - Revivalry

the fx 6350 + r9 270x is a pretty balanced system, mid range but balanced. If you want a high end balanced gaming computer going to an i5 4690k and GTX 970 would be a good option. i7 and gtx 980 cost a lot more for minor gains in performance.

Thanks for your reply, I was looking at i7 as I want ddr4 RAM and Motherboard to future-proof my system, and also gtx 980 because I have 4k TV and understand 980 can handle this? (although i dont think games can) so I will also be future proofing in the resolution aspect of things yes?, and if i'm not mistaken, i7 will easily handle another 980 if i get another one in the future? could someone clarify all of this please?

Thanks
