Solution
- Lose the 1600 Vengeance and spend and extra $15 for the Muhskin Redline w/ Hynix modules 2133 CAS 9 ... your gaming will benefit some, your editing a whole lot ... Mushkin has the best timings on the market.

- I simply can not recommend a CLC type water cooler with mixed metals constructions, loud 2700 rpm fans and especially so when the Noctua DH-15 / Cryorig R1 air coolers kicks even the H100i's tail.... R1 beats it by up to 3c while being up to 1/8th as loud.

i would get a differant power supply the evga g2 750w is good you could even go with e 650w and be fine for that video card unless ofcourse youre wanting to sli. also for 20$ cheaper you could get a phantek enthoo pro case wich is a realy nice case im not saying the phantom is bad i had a phantom 410 didint care for it but wasint a bad case in general. i just have the enthoo pro and love it to death i put it in all my builds if there is a budget for it

- With a small SSD, you are not going to fit many games on it or do any editing so gaming and editing will not benefit from the SSD. I'd strongly suggest an upgrade here to an SSHD.

Seagate SSHD - 9.78 MB/s
Western Digital Caviar Blue - 4.01 Gb/s

Western Digital Caviar Blue - 15.03 Gb/s

-The discount is nice but the EVGA 970 SC is the weakest of available offerings. Id opt for the MSI or the Gigabyte

-I think your have the G1 ... The G2 ($99) is a great PSU but if not doing heavy overclocking, the B2 at $20 cheaper will certainly handle 2 970s on SLI

-The Phantom is a decent case and if the aggressive styling grabs ya by all means stick with it. However, consider the Enthoo Pro ... it took home Case of the Year Honors from Computex for a reason. Frankly there's no equal in it's price range feature and quality wise, exquisite fit and finish for a $100 case, built in PWM fan controller, SSD mounts, pump and reservoir mounts, PSU shroud completely hides PSU and cables, great cable management, best fans on market....comes in black or white.

On the above, my mindset was to recommend only those items that had a small increase in price but brought great returns for the small investment. Two other upgrades to consider.

-If ya wanna water cool, you can get all the benefits of a custom loop ... all copper components, no cheap aluminum radiators, built in reservoir, ability open the loop and add water block for GFX card or whatever....and kick tail on any other all-in-one unit manufactured today ... and it looks great and is super quiet ... but it's $50 more than your selection. Both the H220-X and H240-X will fit in the Enthoo Pro.

- Again , for another $50, you can get the Enthoo Luxe which is essentially the Pro on steroids..... adds more fans and a 10 color LED system with controller .

Solution
Both are reasonable options .....

The SSHD works by moving frequently used files to the SSD portion. This is ideal as you move from game to game, the one you are currently playing will always be moved to the SSD portion. So if you can only afford one, then get the SSHD..... i use 256 GB SSDs for OS and apps, 2 TB SSHD for the rest.
