Can someone please tell me which is the correct temp for the A8-5600k.
I see different readings and I am not sure whats the difference in them.

Well, "CPU 0" is probably not correct, as 20 celsius is equivalent to 68 degrees farenheit, which is probably colder than the room you're in, let alone the ambient temperature inside the computer tower. CPU Package might be right, but I would try another temperature monitoring program like HWmonitor, see if they agree.

HWmonitor I have read recently has a compatibility issue with this CPU. It was driving me nuts because it shows CPU package 0 only. Package 0 has very high spikes which does not make sense to me because I checked the CPU and it was cool to the touch. I used easytune and the temps idled around 28c, but now I see all this, and I just want to make sense of it all.

Third party softwares like Hwmonitor and else don't work correctly with AMD APUs. They always show more then existing. Best way to monitor APUs temp is AMD overdrive. It is available on official AMD website. I should gives thermal margin. It counts down not up. Thermal margin means temps remain to overheat. If thermal margin goes to 0°c means you have on the line of overheat and must shut down your pc to cool. That's the way it works.

OK I just tried it, and I get what your saying. Under load the temp went down. Why on earth do they do this? It has been confusing the hell out of me. So how do you figure what the real temp is?
