how to uninstall driver permanently

Solution
Get rid of the tuneup utlity not the driver. 99% of those "speed up my PC" programs do nothing except load spyware and the ones that don't either do nothing at all to help or make things actually slower. Even reputable ones like ccleaner should only be used if you have specific issues and a good tech recommended that program. I've seen systems stop working after someone ran ccleaner also when it removed a bit too many of what it though were un-needed registry keys.

If your computer is slow it's either

A. A slow computer that needs hardware updates or replacing.

B. Was loaded with a bunch of crapware like that tuneup utility, several antivirus programs instead of one, any other number of junk that you run across on the internet...

Deleting drivers usually means they are reinstalled at start up if they are visible to the BIOS. Why would you want to remove such small driver files? You may need them sometime in the future in the event of failure of your current kb or mouse. Having them available is cheap insurance compared to leaving you with zero input device if something happened.

The system crash is likely from some other cause. The PS/2 driver would normally only be an issue if you had something plugged into that port. Does device manager show a problem with your PS/2 port or is the problem only being shown by the tune up utility? Device manager should be what you go by if there is conflicting information.

Was this reported by one of the "online" tune up programs? Take anything they report with a lot of skepticism. Many of them are known for scaring people so that they can sell them something to fix what wasn't broken to begin with.

Always check other sites before doing what any online program suggests. Rarely are things as scary as some sites make them sound.

The programs I am referring to are the ones that usually pop up when you visit some web site that had nothing to do with the ad you are seeing. They can be java based or flash based programs but unless you were specifically looking for such a program the odds are good that it is an advertisement masquerading as a legitimate site. Those are the kinds of programs to view with skepticism. They are more interested in getting your money than they are in actually helping you solve a problem.

If you are unsure of the legitimacy of a program then check here at Tom's, at the windows seven forum, or most any other site where knowledgeable users can help you. It is almost impossible to list all of the rogue programs or sites as many of them change weekly, monthly, etc. If you are not sure if a site is legitimate then post the name here so that others can check it out and advise you.

C. Just needs a clean Windows setup if it was not re-loaded in a year or more.
