Which wireless network adapter should i get? My biggest concern with wireless adapters is if they drop connection because i like to download large files and a small hiccup screws everything up

All wireless adapters by their very nature can suffer from dropped connections for a variety of reasons. If you want a rock-solid connection it's best not to use WiFi at all. Use a wired connection instead.

If it has to be WiFi, I'd go for a Netgear one.
