will ddr3 800 mhz memory work in a motherboard that doesnt go down to 800 mhz?

can i put ddr3 800 mhz memory in a amd motherboard that doesnt go down to 800 mhz supported memory? such as this one...

update..if i am using dual channel memory does it matter if im using 2 800 mhz stick, wont the mobo just recognize the frequncies together as 1600? or will it not accept the 800 mhz ddr3 sticks?

Yes you can set lower ram speed in bios.

Can you please provide a picture or exact model / label print of that memory? Seems highy unlikely that it is 800MHz memory, more likely it is 1600.

This is 1600MHz memory. 800 MHz is base clock, and since it is Double Data Rate (DDR) it effectively is 1600. You are good to go.
