Hi,

I am running windows 8.1 and have 2 x 500gb SSD in raid 0, (1tb total) I have no backups yet.

Obviously this inst a reliable setup and I want to create some backup options. How would you suggest I backup this?

Ideally I want one 1tb internal backup disk and then another external just for files and folders in-case the computer catches fire or is stolen or the water cooling leaks etc.

Should I just use file history in windows 8 for both? Id like the internal one just to run on its own whilst I can manage the external one a bit.

P.S Also I plan on adding two more SSDs to the raid 0 in about a year. (making 2tb total)
P.P.S I can only fit one more 2.5 inch drive into the computer possibly 2 but defo not a 3.5.

Many thanks for any responses.

I have yet to test windows 8 with any raid backup and restore utilities nor the one built into windows (I despise 8). You will definitely want to verify the restore actually works. I would suggest you begin with windows own backup utility and en external drive of stack of disks before you install too much and make testing restore a pain...
