Strange smell still coming from my MSI R9 290?

I upgraded my gpu to a r9 290 and it's been running fine for over a month now, but when I play demanding games and the gpu heats up, I can smell something strange coming from the gpu? I'm not really sure what it is or what it smells like, I don't think it smells of burning, but just like hot air? I thought it was just because it was new but it still smells? Can someone help please? Thanks:)

The safest thing I would suggest would be to contact the company you bought the card off and ask them about it and maybe even return the product and see if the supplier can fix the issue and if not to get a new card from them. A strange smell could be a range of different problems so better to be safe and return it than to mess around with it and void the warranty.

could have a little bit of stuff on the gpu that cooks when its under load? just a thought, mine smelled like bad air for the first month, like if someone with bad hot breath breaths near you. maby try running benchmarks for awhile or take the card out and look at it? im sure someone will be of more help than this.
