PC turns off and on by itself when the 3rd and 4th RAM stick are installed

I just bought a used Desktop PC with the following Specs:
Core i5 3750 3.8Ghz
GigaByte GA-P75-D3 Motherboard
500Watt PICSys PSU
4x4 Gigabyte 1333Ghz RAM
And it seems that when I plug in any of the RAM sticks in the 3rd or 4th it stars up then shuts down without any sign on the screen.
Now I understand from this that it is the RAM slot, so is there a solution for this problem without replacing the motherboard?

Hello... 1) it could be the RAM sticks are not compatable, Bad, or readable... Try each stick first one at a time.
2) it could be you need more Voltage to your RAM slots, using a setting in your BIO's, too power all 4 of them together.
3) try cleaning all your RAM sticks connectors with rubbing Alcohol.

Typically re-starts due to memory, mean the BIO's cannot Auto set or find a setting to communicate with them.

Are all 4 sticks of ram 1.5v as per the specs of the motherboard??

That PSU is a low end brand. If you have a medium end GPU then the PSU might not have enough power to support the extra draw from the ram (not that it is that much power but it could be the tipping point).

Do those ram sticks work in the first two ram slots?

The RAM sticks are completely compatable as they came in a package, same brand same voltage and Hz
Although I might need to poke around with the BIOS

I am using a very old GPU, Nvidia GT 7200GS or something, so I doubt that it's a shortage in power. The ram sticks work perfectly fine in the first two RAM slots
