I have a i3 2120
I want to know the best graphic card (nvidia preferred) for this processor to avoid bottlenecks and get maximum performance out of this configuration.

$40+ will buy you a lot of gaming performance though. My opinion? Just $20 more will buy you a gpu as fast as GTX960.

Yes. I3 supports hyper threading... Nice little cpu.

And GTX 750 Ti would be a good match indeed. Its a good entry-level gpu. I have one myself. Nice little gpu...

That been said, a Sapphire Radeon R9 280 would destroy it.

good thing it supports hyperthreading because some new game slike far cry 4 wont start without 4 or more cores in the cpu... but they work with hyperthreading... don't get too good of a gpu for that cpu... its a mid range cpu, so get a mid range gpu... If you could return the i3 and get an amd 6 or 8 core that would be better...an amd 6 or 8 core fx beats and i3 and is cheaper...
 


I cannot agree w/ this cpu upgrade path you suggested. OP should not go AMD (amd 6 or 8 core + motherboard) to improve performance. This is by far the best cpu upgrade path:
